According to the CBC, Paul Dewar is being remembered as an advocate in Ottawa. Dewar was the former NDP MP for Ottawa Centre.

Dewar passed away Wednesday after a battle with brain cancer. He was 56-years-old.

Residents in Ottawa remember Dewar for all the work he has done in the community. Kitchissippi councillor Jeff Leiper shared his sentiment and appreciation for Dewar.

In Dewar final message he said thank you to the people of his hometown of Ottawa, Ontario.

According to The Guardian, former hockey player Eric Lindros came to Parliament Hill on Wednesday to advocate for the development of a national framework for treating sports-related concussions.

Lindros told MPs that young children whose brains are still developing, should take a few months off each year from rough sports to give their brains a chance to heal.

According to CTV news, Danish court sentenced a woman for draining blood from her son.

The court sentenced the 36-year-old woman to four-years in jail for having removed 500 millilitres of blood from her son as frequently as once a week over a five-year time frame. The mom, who was a trained nurse performed, 110 drains of her son blood.
