Lunar New Year Event

Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the new year on the traditional lunisolar calendar and is one of the most important cultural celebrations across many countries, including China, South Korea, Vietnam, and others. It is a time of renewal, good fortune, and coming together with family and community.
This year’s celebration is hosted by the Algonquin Students’ Association in collaboration with the Algonquin Chinese Student Alliance and the Vietnamese Student Club. The event will feature cultural showcases, interactive activities, traditional treats, a photo booth, and a live performance by the Success Dragon Lion Dance Troupe.
The celebration will take place on Tuesday, February 17, from 12:00–2:00 PM in the Student Commons.
