(FROM OTTAWA CITIZEN) Victims of the September tornadoes will receive $262,000 from the Centraide Outaouais group. The monies will be split between eight groups with the following initiatives:
- “to rebuild the social fabric” of the Mont Bleu neighbourhood;
- Translation services for people not fluent in French;
- Food aid;
- Helping victims return home or find a new one.
(FROM CTV) Two people, including a minor, were arrested on charges related to national security near Kingston, Ont. Investigators carried sealed bags out of a Kingston home Thursday. The RCMP are addressing this event in a press conference Friday.
